Roll of Honour
History
The 'Manchester Open' started its life as the 'Altrincham Open' back in 1999 and the name remained until 2001 when as the popularity of the competition grew and the catchment area increased the organisers felt the name change would be more fitting.
Ronnie Lawton, Jason King and Mark Beeson thought up the original concept and between them created the competition.
The competition has seen many changes over the years both in the structure and competitors. The standard of play has increased massively over the past few years as the influx of players from outside of Manchester continues.
