The top four players from each group will qualify for the final stages of the main event. The winner of each group plus the highest other points finisher will get a bye direct to the quarter final stages of the main event.
The other eight qualifiers will play off for the remaining quarter final places with the losing players gaining entry to the plate together with the other twenty one players who did not qualify for the final stages of the main event.
Both the final stages knockout and plate competition will be seeded.
